Notes

We are committed to Rent Responsibly standards. This means we follow best-in-class guidelines to ensure you have a peaceful, safe and memorable stay with us. We care a lot about maintaining good relationships with our community, so we appreciate you following these "house rules" during your stay.

LODGING AGREEMENT: The guest booking the property must digitally sign a lodging agreement immediately following the reservation. The most important terms of the agreement are included below, and the guest may cancel a booking penalty free within 24 hours. If the lodging agreement is not completed with 24 hours then the reservation will be cancelled. The agreement will be sent via text message, so please be sure your phone number is correct before booking.

AGE 25 OR OLDER TO BOOK: The guest booking the property must be 25 years of age or older. We reserve the right to request a photo or scan of a government-issued photo ID. The guest who books must stay at the property--you may not book for others if you do not intend to stay at the property.

QUIET HOURS START AT 10 PM: Our property's quiet hours of 10 pm to 6 am are required by county ordinance and enforced by local police. If the police respond to a noise complaint, every individual on the property may face a misdemeanor criminal charge and be subject to a fine by the county of $300. Failure to abide by the county noise ordinance will result in the immediate termination of the stay without refund.

Past noise complaints have always come from groups of 20-somethings. If you are booking for a group of people in their twenties and you think your group may want to play loud music at any time then do not book this property or cancel your reservation if you have already booked. Find another place for your trip so you do not have your trip terminated early and without refund.

NOISE MONITORING AND SECURITY CAMERA: We use devices that measure volume levels throughout the property (like a smoke detector but for noise) and allow us to respond to noise nuisances before the police are called. The devices are triggered primarily by sustained periods of loud music, not things like loud talking or laughter (which is encouraged!). The devices do not record audio and are 100% privacy compliant. We also have a security camera that records the front door and driveway. This allows us to facilitate remote check in and monitor the property between guests.

DAMAGE WAIVER: Every stay is backed by a Safely damage waiver. Guests will not be held responsible for damage caused during their stay if 1) the damage is accidental, and 2) the damage is reported as soon as possible, and by no later than the check out time.

POSSIBLE BACKGROUND CHECK: We reserve the right to use a third-party to verify the guest's identity and check criminal databases to finalize the reservation. Complete terms regarding the guest verification are provided in the lodging agreement, and can be provided sooner upon request.

NUMBER OF GUESTS: The maximum number of guests is seven, but seven adults makes for a tight fit! In order to sleep seven, there will need to be two people in each queen bed, one person in the stand alone twin bed, and one person in each of the twin bunks. The bunk beds especially are small and designed with children in mind.

BUNK BEDS: This property has bunk beds, which pose a risk of injury. Guests agree to hold owner and manager harmless for any injuries which may occur.

NO PETS: No exceptions, sorry. Please don't ask whether we can allow your perfectly house-trained, hypoallergenic labradoodle to join because we can't :-)

NO SHOWER IN LOFT BATHROOM: Please note that the loft bathroom only has a bathtub. The bathtub has a handheld shower attachment, but there is no stand up shower in this bathroom. The other two bathrooms have stand up showers.

POOR CELL RECEPTION, GREAT WIFI: Cell service in this area can be spotty, at best. The good news is that the WiFi is blazing fast at 250 Mbps, so connectivity won't be a problem once you get to the cabin.

BUGS: This is a cabin in the woods--that means there are lots of bugs, especially in the summertime. Even if you are careful some of those bugs will find their way into the house. The best way to minimize the number of bugs inside is to keep doors and windows closed at all times. Please also carefully clean up the kitchen every night and securely package up all food.

STEEP DRIVEWAY: The driveway is a steep paved road about 100 yards long. When it snows, going up or down this hill will be very difficult to do without four wheel drive, snow tires, and/or chains. Please be prepared! We have had guests in the past who were not able to make it up the hill in a snowstorm.

SMOKING: Smoking is never allowed inside the house. You may smoke outside as long as you clean up after yourself. You may not litter cigarette butts on the deck, in the yard, or anywhere else--butts must go in the trash after they have cooled off.

SHEETS: At the end of your stay you will be asked to strip the sheets off the beds that were used and leave the sheets on top of the beds.

PARKING: Parking at the top of the driveway is tight. There is room for up to 4 cars in the driveway, but if parking more than 2 cars, you might have to box in other cars by parking behind them. Turning around to get down the hill is also more difficult with 4 cars.

SNOW-INS: During the winter, four wheel drive, snow tires/chains, and a car with good clearance are HIGHLY recommended in the event of a snow storm or heavy rain, as there is a good chance that a significant snow storm could restrict access in and out of the house. You need to use good judgement as to whether to cancel a trip before it begins or leave the house early.

WAIVER OF LIABILITY FOR USE OF THE HOT TUB: By using the hot tub you agree to follow all house rules associated with it and you release the owner of the property and the manager from all liability relating to injuries that may occur while using the hot tub, regardless of whether injuries are caused by negligence.

SEPTIC SYSTEM: This house has a septic system. Grease and oil must never be allowed down any of the sink drains. Feminine hygiene products must be thrown away in a trash can and not flushed down a toilet. Never flush solid trash down the toilet or into a sink drain.

NO FIREWORKS: Fireworks are not allowed.

NO FIREARMS: Guests may not bring firearms or ammunition inside the house.

NO ILLEGAL DRUGS: Guests may not possess or consume any illegal drugs on the property, including cannabis.

House Rules

Please see the listing notes for other house rules and important information

Cancellation Policy

Guests who cancel at least 30 days before check-in will get back 100% of the amount they've paid. If they cancel between 14 and 30 days before check-in, they'll get back 50%. Otherwise, they won't get a refund.

Elaine (review from Airbnb)
The place was beautiful, tastefully designed, and well maintained. The host was courteous, proactive, friendly, and professional. Everything you needed was there - soaps, towels, full kitchen, etc. Checkout was simple and low maintenance. It seriously delivered everything you'd want, or at least I'd want, in a cabin. I will definitely rebook.

Nathan (review from Airbnb)
Beautiful place! Love the natural light that comes in from the big windows. Great view during the day. At night you can see the lights from the nearby city, very pretty.

Mark (review from Airbnb)
Fun spot for a relaxing weekend getaway with access to the outdoors and historic towns with modern internet and smart tv installation!

Kayla (review from Airbnb)
Very attentive host. Easy check-in and GREAT instructions! The house was clean and comfortable. The pictures do not do it justice! It’s a beautiful property.

Rose (review from Airbnb)
Wonderful stay in a great location! We thoroughly enjoyed the peace and quiet, and proximity to Harpers Ferry for some hiking and history. This is a great weekend escape from DC without traveling far. Highly recommend!

Otilia (review from Airbnb)
Absolutely beautiful wooden cabin! Very clean and filled with small thoughtful touches. Located in a remote quiet location.

Leah (review from Airbnb)
If you are looking for a private retreat, look no further! This house is on a private property and is peaceful. I especially enjoyed time in the loft, looking at the sunset and watching the morning sun come across the valley. The hot tub was everything I needed and when it got too cold outside, I enjoyed the jacuzzi upstairs. I would definitely book again even during the business of the work year to get a weekend get away.
Thank you!

Michael (review from Airbnb)
It was a great getaway location to enjoy privacy and amazing sunset views while enjoying the hot tub.

Rebecca (review from Airbnb)
We stayed out this Mountain Mama home for our 2nd anniversary and it did not disappoint! Very beautiful location and very private. It was very comfortable and we were really able to relax and enjoy ourselves and the beautiful sunsets and moon glow through the giant windows and overhead skylight windows! The hot tub was an extra special edition that we enjoyed so much. We love the area because there is so much history, plenty of lovely little towns (and a terrific bigger one- Frederick, that is only about 30ish minutes away), things to explore (Crystal Grotto!), hiking on the AT- everything we love. The house had all the necessities to cook a nice meal, to watch our favorite football team win and to just relax with a good book by the fire. The beds were super comfy we both slept so well. The hosts reached out to check in with us before we arrived as well as once while we were there, and were very responsive to us. Check in was a breeze. Internet was great. I'm out of space.....

Jason (review from Airbnb)
Perfect getaway cabin. Many amenities to enjoy from a fire indoors or outdoors, hot tub and of course the mountain views. The place is cozy with bedrooms on all 3 levels to provide some privacy. This is definitely a place you will enjoy. Parks are close by, as well as some shopping options.

Danielle (review from Airbnb)
Absolutely worth the money and the 4 hour drive! A perfect home base for the history buff or outdoors person or even just the folks who want to get away!

Benjamin (review from Airbnb)
Great view a nice place to get away for a bit

Brian (review from Airbnb)

Thanks so much it was a wonderful stay. Lovely views and very tranquil.

Manny (review from Airbnb)
Really great, secluded house. Got great use out of the deck and grill. Also, not far from some beautiful hiking. The hosts communicated extremely well and it was just an all around great place to spend a long weekend.

Nicholas (review from Airbnb)
Absolutely wonderful place with everything we needed! Very private location with beautiful views

Emily (review from Airbnb)
Our stay was very enjoyable. Check-in, check-out, and communication with Mountain Mama during our stay was incredibly easy. The house was clean, well provisioned, comfortable, and had an amazing view. We were able to make short trips to Antietam battlefield, Frederick, and Harpers Ferry. My only suggestion is that travelers with small children may want to remember to pack a baby monitor. All three of the very comfortable bedrooms are on different levels which can make hearing little ones difficult.

Kristen (review from Airbnb)
Gorgeous place in great location. Comfy beds and so so quiet. Wonderful views and can’t beat the hot tub.

Kitchen is fairly basic so just be aware.

Strange communication: lots of communication outside air bnb system including rental agreements. Early morning text on day of checkout to ask when we were leaving.

Ruku (review from Airbnb)
It was great, we had a great time sitting in the hot tub and watching a movie from a wide selection. Everything is very comfortable and clean and i feel like going there again and we want others to experience it as well. The view is great too.

Sothir (review from Airbnb)
Cabin is clean and the view is nice. There’s plenty of space for 7 guests. For the high price, I was a bit disappointed with the limited kitchen items. There weren’t enough forks and the food would stick to the pans, so it was difficult to enjoy meals at home. So be sure to bring some extra items.

Ginger (review from Airbnb)
Loved this house and location and the owners were very attentive.

Bruce (review from Airbnb)
Great views, great hot tub, technology issues

The view was great, once we could get in. After completing the rental agreement separate from Airbnb we were supposed to be sent a code. As check in was approaching, I messaged the host and an hour went by before getting a code. The code didn’t work

The hot tub, beds, kitchen supplies were all very sufficient. The new hot tub was well set up.

Tech issues started with the door lock, then with the thermostat, then the TV’s.

All in all, we had a great view of the sunset from the hot tub, slept in clean comfortable beds and got ready in decent bathrooms the next morning (one tub wouldn’t drain, one bathroom was dirty)

Response:
Thanks for your helpful feedback, Bruce, and I'm sorry you didn't have a perfect experience. There was an internet issue at the cabin, caused by the thunderstorm just prior to your arrival, which temporarily disconnected the smart lock, thermostat, and TVs. That's why your original code did not work, but we were able to get you a new code (and into the house) within minutes of texting us. If you had let us know about the other tech issues during your stay we could have quickly fixed those, too! We try to make everything as seamless as possible so that you don't need anything from us during your stay, but unfortunately your stay coincided with a perfect storm (literally!) that affected all our smart technology. That said, we are on standby 24/7 to help whenever necessary, if only you would ask.

Sarah (review from Airbnb)
What a great place to stay! Beautiful views, a HOT TUB and jacuzzi. The home is gorgeous. Only thing I’d complain about are the stairs and the front yard. The stairs are made weird and it’s easy to trip and fall and the front yard has a huge cliff. I would just be careful with elderly or little ones. Overall one of my favorite places I’ve ever stayed at.

Chris (review from Airbnb)
The house was wonderful! The view was amazing and as advertised! It was just my girlfriend and I but it would also be great place for a group or family gathering. It’s a very quiet and secluded spot too! There were deer that would hangout around the house frequently too!

There were extra forms and things I needed to sign and agree to that were off the Airbnb site that had to be signed to reserve the spot that seemed odd and an extra step but I guess it’s a very professional company and they’re just being extra cautious. All and all not a big deal!

Would definitely go back!

Tim (review from Airbnb)
Very professional host that communicates very well.

Mandi (review from Airbnb)
We loved the place - great stay!

Trey (review from Airbnb)
Wonderful house, with lots of new and great amenities and an incredible view! The location is far from most everything, but if that's what you're looking for it is a great place to stay!

Van (review from Airbnb)
Absolutely beautiful cabin. Close to Shepherdstown and Antietam Battlefield. As others have mentioned the drive way is steep but we have an AWD and had zero issues in the summer.

Sound travels pretty far between the floors which was good for us since it made it easy to hear when the baby woke up from his naps.

Chanika (review from Airbnb)
An amazing stay!!! My family enjoyed there stay truly. The view was amazing and it was so beautiful. Mountain Mama is a great host and communication was great.

Bryan T. (review from Vrbo)
Beautiful location! Convenient to everywhere!
House is beautiful and everything is in wonderful condition. I was really happy with the centralized location for our History themed vacation. This house is a perfect place to stay for a exploration of history.
Gettysburg, PA little over an hour away!
Antietam, MD 7 mins away!
Washington DC 1 hour 20 mins away!
Frederick, MD like 30 mins away!
Manassas, VA 1 hour 14 mins away!
Johnstown, PA 2 hours 15 mins away!
Harpers Ferry, WV 20 mins away!

Really enjoyed our time at the house too! Play board games, watched TV, enjoyed the view!

Catherine (review from Airbnb)
Had a terrific experience at this home. It was exactly what we were looking for - a relaxing, spacious place to get away (but not too far away) and with modern amenities. The kitchen was excellent, and we enjoyed the outdoor deck and various living spaces. Everything was clean and accessible. Owner was very pleasant and provided an easy check-in/ check-out. Hope to return again!

Jacob (review from Airbnb)
Had a great stay with friends for my bachelor party. Kitchen was equipped with everything we needed + the grill on the deck. Very clean & cozy. Looks like they’re getting a hot tub installed which would add to an already awesome cabin get away.

Luiyi (review from Airbnb)
5 Star ... 10/10 Amazing place...!

Alissa C. (review from Vrbo)
Cozy cabin with a great view!
We spent a few days here in mid-April. The trees were just beginning to bud, so we had an amazing view of the valley from the enormous living room windows. The house was extremely clean, and towels and basic toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, body wash) are provided by the hosts. The whole family enjoyed the foosball table in the basement, and we gathered at the dining room table for board games and jigsaw puzzles. Harpers Ferry and many hiking options are close by (about 15-20 minutes). The cabin has a kitchen that is stocked with basic cooking implements, but we honestly didn't use it . . . there are so many good local restaurants that we wanted to try during our short stay. The hosts were quick to respond to any questions we had. We would definitely book this cabin again!

Rostam (review from Airbnb)
Very clean and looked exactly like it did in the pictures. The balcony faces directly west so on a clear day you see a gorgeous sunset. Great communication as well. Be careful with the driveway though, it is really steep!

Jenn (review from Airbnb)
The house and view were gorgeous. The beds were incredibly comfortable. The area is pretty remote, the driveway VERY steep and there are lady bugs and stink bugs galore.
We enjoyed the deck and fire pit.
Will definitely be back!

Parisa (review from Airbnb)
So clean and love the fact that all the flooring is hardwood and furniture is leather! The view from the main floor and upstairs is breath taking in the morning and honestly the reason we decided to stay here!

We had no real agenda or place to go! The location is about 20 minutes to harpers ferry and 20 minutes for a few other small towns. There is an icecream spot 7 minutes away that is such a small town treat!

A few things I would point out and it only matters if you travel with little ones! There is one bedroom on the top floor with a beautiful seating area and the outside. One bedroom on the main floor (no tv on the main floor). Few bedrooms/beds in the basement. There is also easy access to stairs but we just used barstools to block those off!

This only impacted us slightly since we like to sleep in close vicinity of the kids and couldn’t all be in the same place unless we slept in the basement!

We easily made adjustments to fit our family but thought it would be nice to know the house layout.

Bedrooms and bathrooms were all super clean and equipped with what you need! The stove works amazing which is a plus if you want to cook.

Keep in mind you are in the woods which means you will deal with stink bugs and yellow lady bugs (I don’t know the actual name of them). They didn’t bother us at all but keep it in mind.

Overall, I highly recommend this house as a place to stay! Host was responsive but we didn’t really need anything! We didn’t utilize the fire pit but they do have one outside!

Janet (review from Airbnb)
The cabin, for our stay, was in a great location. It was quiet and afforded each guest privacy. The view out of the floor to ceiling windows was beautiful and allowed us to watch the sunset each evening. The Wi-fi worked perfectly and the kitchen was stocked with paper towels, dish detergent, a dish sponge, dish towels, napkins, coffee filters and fresh coffee beans. Since it was still to cold, we didn’t use any of the outside amenities, and the communication level from the host was excellent. My one adverse comment is that the driveway is very steep.

Ben (review from Airbnb)
Great spot and comfortable house with plenty to see and visit in the surrounding area.

Winter visitors should know that the driveway is very steep.

Sarper T. (review from Vrbo)
Amazing serenity
We loved the house. Big windows, scenery. Fireplace. Large TV in basement. Kitchen and living room. Awesome place to stay

Sara Jaye (review from Airbnb)
EXCELLENT, we had such a wonderful stay at this property, and yes the view is incredible! Has everything you need and more. We will return!

Neftali (review from Airbnb)
Cozy, quiet, clean, spacious cabin. Plenty of views with access to restaurants and local shops. I visited several potteries that made appointments during my stay. Host was readily available and quickly delivered an item during my stay. Highly recommend this place. Enjoy!

Insiya (review from Airbnb)
View was amazing, everything was exactly as described. neat and clean and perfect for a DC getaway. price can be a bit steep for the amenities provided, but otherwise perfect.

Tammy (review from Airbnb)
Cozy, warm and welcoming! Just what we were looking for! Stayed and pjs and enjoyed a burning wood fire all day everyday during our stay. While looking out over a stunning view. Great remote location. If you come in winter take head to the steep driveway and remote location. Not a problem but be aware!

Scenic, rustic, and cozy

Samantha (review from Airbnb)
Great place to stay!!

Katelyn (review from Airbnb)
Wow, there are no words — this cabin is absolutely gorgeous and better equipped than my own house! We visited this cabin (6 people total) to celebrate a friend's engagement and have a relaxing friend's trip. We were able to roast s'mores, have a lovely fire, play board games, and grill — all of our favorite activities. This is a very lovely way to spend a weekend, and highly recommend spending time in Harper's Ferry nearby.

Dorothy (review from Airbnb)
Truly beautiful views, very comfortable and a perfect family getaway home! Highly recommend this place. Everything is as described.

Kayla (review from Airbnb)
We had a lovely time at this large, beautiful cabin. The house was spacious and warm, and exactly as pictured. Loved watching the sunsets through the large cabin windows. The kitchen was well stocked with dinnerware and pots/pans. Beds were comfortable and the jacuzzi was very nice after a hike. Check in and check out was easy, with one small hiccup (the code wasn’t working but Eddie responded quickly and gave us another one). I would definitely stay here again.

Ezra (review from Airbnb)
The cabin was beautiful and comfortable, and we generally enjoyed our stay. We were particularly impressed with the view, and the short and easy drive from D.C. The cabin didn't have some basic amenities we expected given the ~$250 nightly rate (e.g., measuring cups and spoons; blender; tinfoil). Before our trip, when we asked the host whether certain standard kitchen supplies would be available, we were instructed to bring anything we thought we might need, which we found a bit disappointing. The host, however, was generally easy to reach throughout our stay.

Marlee (review from Airbnb)
This cabin is lovely and warm - a wonderful retreat in the woods. Everything worked great - super easy check in/access to the house, nice appliances, two huge tubs - one with jets, and comfortable beds. All the fun games and toys provided were very fun for our young children. The nearest town is less than 15 minutes away for groceries and restaurants. This would be super awesome in the fall as it is surrounded by trees, or if there was snow. But the house itself feels roomy, yet intimate, and we loved our stay.

Gene (review from Airbnb)
Great cabin near Harper’s Ferry. Very clean - has all the amenities (fireplace, grill, full kitchen, big tv, multiple bedrooms, playroom, etc). Not much room to run around the house because its up on a big hill, but there’s hiking trails within a close drive. Great communication and easy check-in experience. We had a great time.

Melissa (review from Airbnb)
Beautiful home with an amazing view!

Caitlin M. (review from Vrbo)
Great spot!
We had a great weekend at this property. It was comfortable, equipped and the view was really beautiful.

christy e. (review from Vrbo)
Beautiful property. Super clean
We loved the property. We have two adult children and It was big enough for everyone to have their own space. Loved the fire pit and the view is EXTRAORDINARY

Genevieve (review from Airbnb)
The property was well maintained very clean with a cozy atmosphere. The big windows give you a prolific view to take in. I highly recommend this property and look forward to visiting again!

Albrecht (review from Airbnb)
This was a fantastic week long getaway for my wife and I. Overall the home is charming - very warm tastefully decorated log cabin with a wonderful view, especially at sunset. The deck was enjoyable in the afternoons in the sun. Kitchen is well furnished with pretty much everything we needed (there is no ice maker but they have a few trays, so you may want to bring a bag). Beds and pillows are comfortable (memory foam I believe), and leather sofas on all 3 floors were super comfortable too. The home was spotlessly clean (really important to us). Communications from Eddie were great - always had a direct way to get hold of them, and they were really responsive with our questions. The fireplace is indeed a wood burning one (different than I'm used to, but works great, so bring some firewood!). Would highly recommend spending some time at the Antietam Civil War battlefield - just about 10 minutes away - one of the best preserved (and non-commercial) of all the civil war battlefields- there is a wonderful driving tour and online set of videos that describes what happened on this very tragic day. Shopping is really close in Shepherdstown (about 12 min drive). Overall a delightful stay and looking forward to either coming back here, or trying some of "Mountain Mama's" other properties!

Umesh (review from Airbnb)
An excellently maintained house surrounded by woods, for a getaway. Great views of valley vistas and sunsets.

Suzanne (review from Airbnb)
Beautifully decorated, very clean, comfortable and quiet. Perfect place for a relaxing vacation!

Kimberly (review from Airbnb)
Several friends used beautiful cabin as our getaway, and we really enjoyed it! It is a peaceful escape with a gorgeous view of the mountains. It is a well-equipped house, and it is a great place to bring friends or family together. You are located close to excellent hikes and both Shepherdstown and Harper's Ferry. We would definitely rent this lovely cabin again!

Anji (review from Airbnb)
Wow - this place was amazing. It’s close to Harpers Ferry (amazing hikes), Shepherdstown (theatre), Antietam battlefield (just down the road), yet you have a secluded location with a great view to come home to.
The living space is incredible with sun all day and great views of the valley below. Each of the three bedrooms is on its own level, so one can have privacy when needed.
Loved it!

Mallie (review from Airbnb)
We loved this comfortable, cozy cabin. Great indoor and outdoor spaces for everyone to enjoy. The main living space has oversized windows offering lots of natural light and a beautiful view. The 3 bedrooms are spread out on the 3 floors, which gave our group of 6 room to spread out. The bedroom on the top floor has an en suite bath with a large jacuzzi tub. The bedroom on the main floor has a bathroom with tub/shower. And the bedroom on the lower level has a bathroom with a shower. Every design detail has been thoughtfully considered making this a really charming getaway experience. The toy chest discoveries on the lower level and main floor brought particular delight to our young kiddos!

Carol (review from Airbnb)
Great mountain retreat! Lovely home that is spotless and beautifully decorated. Sunsets on the front porch are breathtaking! Very close to many historic attractions and many hiking trails! Wish we could have stayed longer!

Therese (review from Airbnb)
As charming as described. GREAT stay!

Erik (review from Airbnb)
This property is fantastic. Beautiful house, great amenities, and perfectly clean. Nice views, close to Harper's Ferry and a number of Civil War battlefields as well as a few national and state parks. Great communication with Eddie.

Kevin (review from Airbnb)
Excellent property. Comfortable interior, great views from the deck, and a well stocked kitchen. 5 minutes from Antietam battlefield.

Sugabramya (review from Airbnb)
The cabin log was such a true beauty. It was very spacious, clean and just like the pictures!

Ashlee (review from Airbnb)
Everything was beautiful.

W.R. (review from Airbnb)
The house was a wonderful, secluded place to enjoy a family weekend away. The host was very helpful and quick to respond to communication. Comfortable furnishings, beautiful surroundings. The sunsets are worth the price of admission. We also enjoyed touring the local wineries and historic sites. Highly recommend.

David (review from Airbnb)
Eddie's place is amazing, you might not want to leave! If you can break yourself away from the cozy furniture and outstanding view, there's a lot of outdoor adventures within easy driving distance. My family of 4 had plenty of space to spread out, relax, and have fun. Eddie was great with communication as well. Hope to come back soon!

Evan C. (review from Vrbo)
Great mountain getaway
We enjoyed our stay over a long weekend. The place was big enough for 7 adults and close to plenty of hiking, swimming, and other activities.

Jason (review from Airbnb)
This place was wonderful - very relaxing and scenic. Plenty of privacy, and the host made sure that he was reachable if needed. Be aware - the driveway is very steep, so be careful in bad weather!

Edward (review from Airbnb)
Great getaway

Lauren (review from Airbnb)
We had a wonderful weekend at Eddie’s place. Great location and Eddie was very responsive. Would definitely stay again!

Charles (review from Airbnb)
Great communication. Amazing view from inside the house or on the deck. Clean house with nice kitchen including very new appliances. Nice bathrooms. WiFi was great for all our devices.

Drew And Melanie (review from Airbnb)
Gorgeous cabin! We loved it. We are side on the deck with the beautiful view. Cabin was very clean!

Kimberly (review from Airbnb)
A fantastic, serene, cozy spot for us to escape busy life with our adult children. The gorgeous sunset and still mornings on the deck are shared with inquisitive and beautiful deer and the sounds of peace. The warm and inviting ambiance makes for instant comfort.

Michelle (review from Airbnb)
Beautiful and clean house! Enjoyed our time there very much.

The house is beautifully decorated and immaculate in a secluded setting with a beautiful view. The layout is such that couples can have some privacy but there is also plenty of room for everyone to congregate. Our host Eddie was friendly and helpful. Always available to address any questions or concerns without being intrusive. We will be back!

FIVE STARS! I can’t wait to stay here again!

We had a wonderful stay at this home. The view was amazing. We enjoyed sitting outside and watching the sunset. The house was perfect for a family. We had three kids and there was enough space for them and two couples.

There were games, toys, and a foosball table.

One thing that really stood out was how clean the space was and how comfortable all of the beds were. This is not something you get with every rental.

The fire pit was great. We used it almost every night. We saw lots of animals in the woods and heard an owl!

The location is great. We were able to get to all of the local attractions quickly.

The amenities were shat we needed. We cooked/grilled almost every meal at the house and the kitchen had all of the supplies necessary.

The internet was not working for our stay and that was a bummer. We were not able to work as planned, but There is a great free library down the road that offers Wi-if.

Idea for your trip: We brought a baby gate for our toddler, and I suggest that for the basement steps. The steps are a little steep for the littlest ones.

Response:
We're so sorry again about the internet, Gina. We spent almost an hour on the phone with tech support the day you arrived (Monday) trying to get it up and running. In the end, they had to send a technician out to fix the problem and the soonest they had was Wednesday. We would have paid extra to get the technician there ASAP, but they said there was no way to move up the appointment. I'm glad we were able to get the wifi fixed during your stay, but sorry for the inconvenience it caused. We haven't had any trouble with the wifi until this one incident, and it's been working fine for several days now since the technician came. We look forward to hosting you again sometime!

We really enjoyed this beautiful cabin and the surrounding locations for hiking. We plan to return, perhaps regularly.

This is a great place in the woods. Everything was clean and as described in the pictures. You can see deers around and hear crickets at night. Very comfortable and very well located. You’ll be 20minutes from harpers ferry and 15minutes from Greenbrier Lake. We’ll be back.

beautiful property and the house itself is really lovely as well. the basement bedroom is meant for kids but adults can fit into the twin beds even if it is a snug fit. the driveway is quite steep but didn't prove to be a problem for our SUV. it was a 20 minute drive into Harper's Ferry and was quite convenient. would definitely stay here again

Hiking on AT with friends
Sunny streams was in a good location for our purpose of meeting friends for a hike to Annapolis Rocks on the AT. Other nice outdoor recreation is available in the area and scenic drives too. While the weather was very hot, the deck provided a very nice spot for gathering in the evening. The house was roomy with 3 separate seating areas. Nice comfortable decor. The driveway is steep as advertised but not a big problem in summer. The floors are very creaky/noisy and mattresses are foam which takes some adjustment. Each bedroom is on a separate floor which may be a concern for families with small children.

Truly wonderful stay
We had such a lovely time at the property. Superbly clean, every detail is thought through. It’s better than the pictures. Clean, airy, cozy, bright with a new like feel. View was amazing. Wanted to stay longer, but it was all booked:-) Thank you to the hosts.

This home was a great home base as we spent time hiking and exploring the Harpers Ferry area and checking out some of the C&O canal path. Eddie was very responsive, and all of our instructions were clear and easy to follow. The home was comfortable, clean and we were fortunate enough to have seen a few deer right by the firepit and from the kitchen windows :) a great place to stay!

The perfect cabin
I am afraid to give too high of a rating because I don't want it all booked up the next time we want to visit, but everything about this luxury cabin was perfect. Totally private feeling in the woods with nature and VERY clean. Very comfortable beds and nicely decorated. My kids, wife, and I felt immediately comfortable and at home. Great communication from the owner and helpful welcome and departure web page info.

This house in Keedysville was beautiful with stunning views for our family of 7! Eddie was very communicative and made our stay very easy with his house manual and easy check-in and out instructions. They even left us a bottle of wine, local popcorn and coffee! The bathrooms and house were really clean and we absolutely recommend staying at this beautiful cabin! Thank you Eddie for allowing us to stay in your beautiful home!
